Dear Friends,
I am in the states now, speaking to churches and saying thank you to supporters. But the real purpose for my writing is to pass on news and photos from Ann, my Administrative Assistant. While I tour the states, represents This Child Here in Odessa,
I realize that you don't know the people she mentions as you read her letter, but if you read it, you will understand some of the day to day things that we do and problems we encounter. She also sent some pictures of the sailing program, which I am thrilled about. I have added notes in parenthesis.
The last photo is of a well known location, The Columns of Odessa. They were covered with grafitti; I had the idea of buying paint and using kids from The Way Home to paint them, "Street Kids Clean Up Odessa" i imagined the headlines... but i see someone beat me to it. That's Alona who left the streets in June to live with us.
